Any hospital in the global context has a common vision to cure all patient who attend the hospital with the maximum care. But with the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, hospitals the places which may encounter the higher risk of spreading COVID-19 virus among the patients, as well as among the staff members. The current manual process of registering patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD) in Sri Lankan hospital system is inappropriate due to the high intervention of human (staff). As a result, the staff members may encounter the risk of getting infected to viruses such as COVID 19 while handling the patients. Not only that but the infected patients or staff members (commonly disease carriers) may contribute to spread the viral diseases even without their awareness. Hence this has become a universal issue. This research project suggests strategies to overcome this issue by identifying the flu-infected patients OPD using a smart automated system. The system will guide the patients with minimized human intervention, and to make the management process easy by computerizing the management process. For the prediction mechanism, a TensorFlow based model is used. For the patient guidance system, an Android application which runs on a large screen tablet computer is being used with voice commands enabled. A computerized web-based management system was developed to manage the patient registration and to create a Patient Network. Importance of having a Patient Network is that the authorized officers can observe a keep track of records regarding the patients who attended to a particular hospital with corresponding dates. Thus it is vivid that our attempt to provide people with better solutions through this research project is successful.
